Health officials report 83 new cases, 5 new deaths from COVID-19 in Del.
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says an additional 5 people have died as a result of the coronavirus in Delaware.
We’re told that four of the five most recent deaths involve individuals with underlying health conditions. They range in age from 48 to 101, with two from Sussex County, two from Kent, and one from New Castle.
The state also has an additional 83 cases, bringing the state’s total to 5,371. 2,520 cases are in Sussex County, 847 in Kent, and 1,979 in New Castle.
At this time 284 individuals are hospitalized, 61 of whom are critically ill. 1,847 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
