61 new cases, 6 COVID-19 related deaths in Del.
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health gave an update on coronavirus in the state Thursday evening.
Officials say that six more people have died from complications of the virus, bringing the state’s total to 52. Four of the most recent deaths involve New Castle County residents, including a 57-year-old male, 72-year-old female, 84-year-old male, and 71-year-old male. In addition, a 59-year-old Kent County woman has died, as well as a 68-year-old Sussex County man.
An additional 61 positive cases have been reported in the state, bringing the total to 2,075. New Castle County has just over 1,000 cases, with 352 in Kent, and 698 in Sussex County.
209 individuals are currently hospitalized, 60 of whom are critically ill. A total of 378 Delawareans have fully recovered.
