Rams Rake In Road Win, Top Decatur

The Parkside softball team earned a bounce back win Friday when they traveled to Stephen Decatur and pulled out a 15-3 win. The win improve the Rams to 10-4, while the loss drops the Seahawks to 4-11.
Both teams would come out pitching well to open the game. Maggie Cannon would control the Seahawks lineup, while Lexi Black was able to work her way out of a couple early jams as well. Parkside would eventually take the lead after they plated 5 runs in the 3rd, highlighted by a RBI double from Ceirra Hearn. Then in the lead would stretch to 9-0 by the end of the 5th, after a couple more RBI singles from Mandi Fletcher and McKenna Reddick. The Seahawks would continue to battle and extended the game before finally managing to bring a couple runs across, but they could never overcome their deficit.
Parkside returns to work on Wednesday when they travel to play at Queen Anne’s, while Stephen Decatur
