Salisbury Man Arrested in Queenstown after Stealing Car During Test Drive

QUEENSTOWN, Md. – The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff has arrested a Salisbury man after they say he stole a vehicle from a car dealership under the pretenses of taking it on a test drive.

Deputies arrested 42-year-old Micah Blue on charges of unauthorized removal of property, motor vehicle theft, and theft valued between $25,000 to under $100,000. According to court documents, Blue is being held without bond.

On Oct. 3rd, at 5:21 p.m., deputies were dispatched for a report of a stolen tracked to the Queenstown Outlets. Dispatch further advised the vehicle had been stolen that morning from the Pohanka Toyota Dealership in Salisbury.

Deputies arrived at the Queenstown Outlets and observed a male, later identified as Blue, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that matched the stolen vehicle’s description. Blue was detained and he later advised he had been given permission to take the truck on a test drive from the dealership, but had not been told when he needed to bring it back. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and estimated to be valued at nearly $76,000. Blue was subsequently placed under arrest.
