Clayton Fire Co. urges against distracted driving

Don’t text and drive. It’s the message behind a warning against distracted driving from the Clayton Fire Company.

Americans apparently sent 169.3 billion texts/month in 2014. We’re told many of them were sent behind the wheel. Clayton officials say that in that same year, over 3,000 people were killed by distracted drivers and about 431,000 were injured.

The Clayton Fire company says it’s not difficult to do your part in preventing more incidents, just use your cell phone within the law. They call distracted driving a “serious issue” and ask that you have the conversation with your family.
