GEORGETOWN, Del.– The Delmarva Christian School District has launched their Stronger Together Campaign back in the summer of 2022.
The Stronger Together campaign is a multi-phase building project aimed at unifying the school’s entire district under one roof. Interim head of the school Justin Savini says the unification of the district has been a dream in the making.
“We started to just dream about how wonderful it would be to have unity amongst our faculty and students,” Savini said. “When you think about high school english teachers being able to collaborate with middle school and elementary teachers and to create synergy if you will that weaves all the way through the curriculm.”
More school leaders are equally excited, Secretary of Student Services Pip Craig says she is excited to see how the combined schools will end up strengthening the district’s sense of community.
“I am super excited about the high school being able to support the elementary students,” Craig said. “For example sometimes we have seniors that like to intern for teachers. I think it’s going to strengthen by leaps and bounds and I think we’re going to feel like a family.”
Emotions were high at the school following a large outpouring of community support that allowed the campus to reach their fundraising goals.
“I cried,” Savini said. “But honestly it was just so humbling and it took efforts and generosity of a lot of people to make this happen.
The Stronger Together campaign reflects way more then just brick and mortar it’s a generational investment in future students, families, and education.
