43rd Annual Salvation Army Toy Run
Salisbury, Md. – Fall isn’t quite over yet, but the holiday spirit is underway to support children throughout Delaware. On Sunday, Blue Knights Delaware hosted their Annual Salvation Army Toy Run to help bring hope and holiday cheer to young Delawareans.
Motorcycle enthusiasts, active and retired law enforcement officers, community supporters and volunteers came together to support kids facing challenges this holiday season.
Salvation Army Delaware Sector Coordinator Major Leanne Cordner said its not too late to join in on the cause. She encouraged those who wanted to paripate in their toy and donations drive for Angel Trees could do so by calling their Wilmington, Del. office or their local Salvation Army branch.
“You can ring us up and we will send tags to you,” she said. “And that of the tag gives you the name of first name of the child, the age, and what that child would wish they could have for Christmas that we don’t need, that doesn’t have to be fulfilled. We’re very pleased to receive anything. So toys, clothes, a if you want to donate money, you can do it that way as well.”
Donation drives will last up until Dec. 25.
