Fishing pier re-opening in Cape Henlopen State Park

(AP) – The Cape Henlopen State Park fishing pier is re-opening.

A ceremony to mark the re-opening is taking place Wednesday. Delaware Gov. Jack Markell is expected to join schoolchildren in casting the first fishing lines from the pier.
 
Officials said in a statement that the pilings that support the 1,300-foot pier have been repaired or replaced and repairs to the deck have also been completed.
