3 charged in numerous thefts from home improvement stores

(AP) – Delaware State Police have arrested three women they say stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from several home improvement stores in New Castle County in the past month.
The agency said in a news release Tuesday that the investigation began on Sept. 15 at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Bear. Troopers say three women had stolen high-end kitchen and bathroom faucets worth over $20,000.
Police investigated thefts from six more home improvement stores and identified three suspects who they say were working together. Thirty-five-year-old Lakiesha Hargrow and 24-year-old Geneara Shovall, both of Wilmington, and 27-year-old Deerna Johnson of Pennsylvania were arrested on Friday. They are charged with organized retail crime, selling stolen property and other offenses.
