Five of the victims were from New Castle County, three from Sussex County, and one from Kent County.
As of February 15th, there have been a total of 5,047 confirmed cases of the flu in Delaware, including 267 hospitalizations. We’re told these numbers only reflect the number of lab-confirmed cases, and that the actual number of cases statewide is likely higher.

Officials say it’s not too late to get a flu vaccine. If you do get sick, you should stay home, and if you believe you may have the flu, you are encouraged to visit your doctor.
