Redevelopment Plans Underway for Former Ocean Plaza Mall
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) has announced the initiation of redevelopment activities at the former Ocean Plaza Mall on Coastal Highway in Ocean City.
The Baltimore-based real estate company plans to redevelop the space into a nearly 60,000 square foot grocery-anchored retail shopping center. The plan comes after the demolition of the Roses Discount Store building earlier this year, with plans to revitalize the space for existing tenant ACME Markets.
“I am able to share that Continental Realty Corporation is moving forward with a significant mixed-use redevelopment of this long-underutilized site, which represents among the largest remaining parcels in our community,” stated Ocean City Mayor Richard Meehan. “Their redevelopment plan is an important investment in North Ocean City and will bring meaningful benefits to our community, including enhanced services, improved accessibility, and renewed vitality to this key corridor.”
The complex is set to be rebranded as Bayside Shops at 94th, with a renovation completion date slated for late 2026 to early 2027.
