Cape boy’s basketball settles in to top Smyrna in early-season showdown

LEWES, Del. – Cape Henlopen boy’s basketball beat Smyrna 74-58 on Tuesday night in Lewes.

Smyrna started quicker than Cape, building a 17-10 lead early in the second quarter. The Vikings roared back to close the half though, with Jameson Tingle scoring 16 points in the second to put Cape up 33-26 at the break.

Cape expanded their lead to as many as 19 points in the 2nd half, ultimately winning by a margin of 16 to move to 2-0 on the season.

Stephen Sivels and Jameson Tingle led the way offensively for the Vikings, with 21 and 20 points respectively.
