Police: investigation underway following shooting death of 19-year-old

DOVER, Del. – An early morning shooting in Dover resulted in the death of a 19-year-old male, and police are now investigating.

Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to the Country Club Apartments off of Forrest Avenue for a report of shots fired. It was reported that a person was lying in an area near the Q Building of the complex, and on arrival, officers located 19-year-old Jamil Green, who had been shot multiple times.

Green was unconscious at the time of police arrival, and was pronounced dead on scene by medical personnel who responded.
