Md. gas tax to rise July 1

Gas prices across the state will take a small hike on July first as part of legislation that was passed back in 2013.

Since then the transportation infrastructure investment act has called for a tax increase on gas every July first.

The comptrollers office tells 47 ABC this year’s will be an increase of nine tenths of a cent per gallon.

That increase also applies to diesel fuel.

However it does not include airplane fuel.
