Fire destroys apartment in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – An apartment fire caused serious damage in Cambridge on Thursday night.

About 50 firefighters responded to Crusader Road around 5:00 p.m. Investigators suspect a lithium-ion battery sparked the flames. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes. No one was injured.

The American Red Cross is helping the displaced occupants.
