Harrington man arrested on multiple charges for illegal possession of firearms

DOVER, Del. – A Harrington man was arrested over the weekend on multiple charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

According to the DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police, the investigation involved 58-year-old Charles Bright Jr. Police approached Bright while he was deer hunting and in possession of a .50 caliber CVA muzzleloader. In addition, police seized a ten point crossbow, 20-gauge shotgun, and numerous rounds of shotgun ammunition from Bright’s residence.

Bright was charged with three counts of possession, purchase, ownership, or control of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited. He was later released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
