Red Sox 14U Roll Blacksox

The Mid-Atlantic Red Sox 14 and under team picked up a dominate win Saturday morning when they rolled the Virginia Blacksox 7-2. The Red Sox jumped out to a early lead, and would finish the game with some strong defensive plays for the win.

Gavin Bunting helped get the scoring started with a RBI fielders choice that plated Aaron King. The Red Sox then added a couple more runs off a deep 2 RBI drive to center from Cole Gursky, that would bring in both Brandon Schlabach and Mason Fluharty. The Red Sox then added another run off a a sac fly to center from Ryan Rigby that would score Riley Horner. The lead then stretched to 6 after Javon Toppin hit a hard shot to 3rd in which, Matt Warrington took off for home, just sliding in under the tag. The lead proved to be to much for the Blacksox to overcome as the Red Sox held on for the win.
