Dover man arrested following aggravated menacing complaint

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Dover man Wednesday afternoon on charges stemming from an aggravated menacing complaint.

According to police, the incident happened at around noon, in the unit block of Carlisle Drive in Dover. A 29-year-old male victim told police that 19-year-old Daevon Stratton was outside his girlfriend’s residence, which is next door to the victim, honking the horn in his vehicle for approximately 30 minutes.

When the victim went outside to ask Stratton to stop honking the horn, Stratton reportedly got what appeared to be a black assault rifle out of the vehicle, pointing it at the male victim as well as a 27-year-old female victim and threatening them.

Neither of the victims were injured.

Stratton was located a short time later outside of his home in Kentwood Mobile Home Park. Stratton was found to be in possession of approximately 9.68 grams of marijuana at the time and was subsequently arrested. He was charged with two counts of aggravated menacing and possession of marijuana, and was later released on $10,100 unsecured bond.
