MD Rolls Out SNAP Assistance
(MARYLAND) – The Maryland Department of Human Services is working to help those who have been struggling with SNAP Assistance.
The department announced the launch of a new dashboard meant to help with SNAP enrollment across Maryland. Last November — More than 35 thousand Marylanders lost their SNAP benefits.
Now, the Moore-Miller Administration is working to help reduce barriers to getting assistance.
The Department of Human Services spoke about a couple of ways they’re helping Marylanders.
“We want to support them by directing them to local resources like food pantries or by reapplying for benefits, in some cases, depending on their eligibility. And to do so, we direct them to Maryland benefits dot gov,” says Department of Human Services Chief Performance Officer, Colin Murphy.
