18- and 15-year-old arrested on firearm charges in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Several illegal firearms were confiscated in Dover following a traffic stop.

On Wednesday afternoon, Dover Police pulled over a vehicle in the area of Presidents Drive and Bay Road. The driver was identified as 18-year-old Angel Sanabria. Police say he had a legal handgun and was arrested.

Later, investigators would execute a search warrant at a home on the 400 block of Barrister Place. Inside, police say they found a gray duffel bag containing a handgun, a semi-automatic rifle, and an AR-style rifle broken down into pieces. A fourth firearm was found in another part of the home, and police say a 15-year-old male had been in possession of the bag. He was arrested.

Sanabria is being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $24,000 cash bail. The 15-year-old is being held at Stevenson House Detention Center on $36,000 cash bail.
