POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – Downtown Pocomoke City celebrated their October “Fourth Friday” event in a festive way. On Friday, Oct. 23rd, Willow St. lit up as the town hosted “The Great Pumpkin Showcase.”

Amanda Russell is the community outreach coordinator for Pocomoke City, and helped to plan the event.

“I was like, you know what?” Said Russell. “Let’s try something different. What do you think about when you think of October? I think pumpkins, so let’s close out the year with some good old pumpkin fun.”

The event featured a variety of vendors, selling everything from spooky crafts, to fresh served BBQ.

The main display, was the row of decorated pumpkins, where visitors could vote on their favorite, and all proceeds from the entries, benefited the corner sanctuary community garden.
