Two arrested in connection to June Dollar General armed robbery

WESTOVER, Md. – Maryland State Police say two suspects have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery that took place at the Dollar General in Westover back in late June.

According to officials, the incident happened on June 30th at around 10 p.m., at the Dollar General located at 8640 Crisfield Highway in Westover. It was learned that a masked person walked into the store demanding money from the cash registers. One store employee was hit in the head with the end of a pistol during the incident. The suspect was then seen fleeing on foot and then getting into a vehicle approximately 300-400 yards away on Fairmount Road.

The Criminal Enforcement Division Lower Shore (CEDLS) responded, and was about to identify one of the suspects as 29-year-old Anthony Horsey. Police say he was responsible as a conspirator of the armed robbery and also provided transportation for the gunman to and from the crime scene. An warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was taken into custody on July 10th. He was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit first degree assault, conspiracy to commit second degree assault, theft $100 to $1500, and accessory after the fact, and was held without bond.

The investigation continued, and in October, the second suspect was identified as 23-year-old Timothy Jarvis. Jarvis was taken into custody on October 19th and was charged with armed robbery, robbery, two counts of firearm use/fel – violent crime, first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault, two counts of conspiracy to commit second degree assault, handgun on person, two counts of reckless endangerment, theft $100 to under $1500, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit first degree assault, conspiracy: firearm use/fel – violent crime, and conspiracy to commit theft $100 to under $1500.

Jarvis was also held without bond.
