DSP investigating Dover robbery

Delaware State Police say an alleged armed robbery is under investigation is underway in Dover.

We’re told around 4:10 p.m. Friday, an 18-year-old man agreed to meet an unknown man at the Alder Park Apartments, to buy a cell phone. The two men reportedly set up the meeting through the website, “Let’s Go”. Police say as the victim approached the apartment complex, he was confronted by another man.

After the man reportedly escorted the victim to the basement of one of the buildings, the man allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded money from the victim. We’re told the victim complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect the fled the building. The victim was uninjured.
