Laurel armed robbery suspect arrested in Cambridge

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police say the suspect in last week’s armed robbery at a Laurel fast food restaurant is in custody.

On Wednesday, Cambridge Police were called to Dorchester Square after a citizen reportedly recognized a black Honda with Maryland registration matching the description of the Honda used in the armed robbery at the Hardee’s in Laurel two days prior. When officers arrived, they met with the driver, identified as 28-year-old Damiean Turner, and successfully identified him as the robbery suspect.

Turner is in custody awaiting extradition back to Delaware, at which time he will be charged with first degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, aggravate menacing, theft, and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony.
