University President Dr. Carolyn Ringer Lepre said this new partnership elevates the study abroad program.

“This is an organization that will connect Salisbury University with more than 50 different universities in Japan. We’ll be able to offer our educational experience to all of them. We’re hopeful this will create a pipeline of students.”

The economic impact is projected at $4 million, and this figure is expected to rise.

The Assistant Provost of International Education, Brian Stiegler, states this grows campus reach globally. “The culture and identity that brings global learning to the Maryland students that we have here. We can make sure all students have access to global learning.”

President Lepre explained this new agreement will now give JSAF students the opportunity to go into higher education
