UPDATE: Dover Police Arrest Man for Multiple Burglaries
UPDATE: Dover Police have arrested a man in connection with multiple burglaries that have occurred over the last week.
Officers arrested 44-year-old Jose Gerardo Dominguez-Morales after identifying him as the primary suspect in burglaries that recently occurred at the Dunkin’ on South DuPont Highway and Delaware Shoppes on South State Street.
Domingo-Morales was located at the DART Bus Transfer Station on West Water Street on Sept. 2, and taken into custody without incident on warrants for the burglaries. He has since been arraigned and released on a $9,000 unsecured bond.
DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred early Wednesday morning at the Dunkin’ located on South Dupont Highway.
Around 12:40 a.m., officers responded to the business for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, they discovered that both front glass doors had been shattered. Officers entered the business to find an interior safe had been opened, and an undisclosed amount of cash was reported stolen. The suspect also reportedly took a drink from the business before leaving.
Surveillance video showed a male suspect wearing a tan hat, black pants, black shoes, and a multi-colored blanket. Police say the suspect approached the business from the south, shattered the front doors with an object, and entered the store.
