Wilmington Police search for domestic stabbing suspect

Early Tuesday morning, Uniform Services Division officers say they responded to the area of Tatnall Street in reference to a stabbing investigation.
Around 4 AM, arriving officers reportedly found a 35-year-old woman who was suffering from apparent stab wounds to her legs and facial areas.
Officials say the victim was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics, taken to the Christiana Hospital, and is apparently in stable condition.
According to the report, the investigation into the stabbing showed that the incident was domestic in nature, and happened inside of a home on N. West Street.
The Wilmington Police Criminal Investigation Division is reportedly actively looking for Jamar Cain, 35, of Wilmington. Officials say Cain is the suspect in this incident and warrants are pending for his arrest.
According to the report, Cain is described as being around 5’07, 140 pounds, possibly having braids in his hair.
Anyone with information relative to his whereabouts of Cain are asked to call 911, or Detective Joe Miller at 302-576-3639. Officials say The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and Police are asking you not to approach the suspect if seen.
