Seaford Police Department promotes Tyler Justice to Deputy Chief of Police
SEAFORD, Del. — The Seaford Police Department has promoted Tyler Justice, a 10-year veteran, to Deputy Chief of Police, effective February 3, 2025. Justice, who joined the department in 2014 after graduating from the Delaware State Police Academy, has held various roles, including patrol officer, sergeant, and the first School Resource Officer for the Seaford School District. He was also a founding member and leader of the Strategic Health Initiatives and Emerging Leader Development (SHIELD) Team.
Justice holds numerous certifications, including in officer resiliency, mental health first aid, and de-escalation techniques, and earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Marist College. He is also active in the community, having coached Seaford High School’s football and tennis teams and serving on the board of the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club.
Chief Marshall Craft praised Justice’s professionalism and leadership, noting his role in shaping the future of the department. City Manager Charles Anderson also commended Justice’s character and commitment to public service.
In a statement, Justice expressed his excitement and pride in the promotion, emphasizing his dedication to continuing the department’s progress and enhancing community relations.
