Woman arrested for endangering the welfare of her children

A woman was reportedly arrested on Tuesday after leaving two children at a home, unsupervised.
Around 7:30 PM, officers say they responded to Country Club Drive for a report of unsupervised children in a home, called in by a witness. After arriving, police met with the witness who apparently had contact with the children when their dogs ran into Country Club road in front of his car.
The witness reportedly stopped to help the children get control of the dogs, and this is when he learned that they were home alone.
Further investigation revealed that Susan Terrillion, 55, of Olney, allowed her children, a 9 year-old-boy and an 8-year-old girl, to stay at their vacation rental by themselves, unsupervised while she left to go to a restaurant about 5 miles away to pick up food.
According to the report, it was estimated that Terrillion was gone from the home for at least 45 minutes.
Neither the children nor the dogs were reportedly injured, and Terrillion was arrested for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor offense, and released on $500 unsecured bail.
