Two teens arrested in Dover for a stolen vehicle after a police pursuit

DOVER, del. – Dover police arrested a 16-year-old and 15-old-year boy after a pursing them in a stolen vehicle.

According to police, around 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon, a red Hyundai Elantra had been reported stolen.

An officer was around the West Loockerman Street and South State Street area when he saw the stolen Elantra being driven down the street.

Attempts to stop the car failed as the driver drove away before stopping in the Capital Green neighborhood in the New Castle Avenue area.

The driver and passenger both got out of the car shortly after stopping. The driver surrendered but the passenger fled.

The officer was able to apprehend both suspects and they are facing charges for theft of a motor vehicle, possession of burglar tools, resisting arrest and more.
