Fire marshals investigating suspected arson in Salisbury

The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a structure fire in Salisbury that they believe was intentionally set.
Shortly after 1:30 PM Monday, firefighters responded to a burning two-story home in the 1100 block of East Church Street. It took 17 firefighters approximately five minutes to control the flames.
Fire marshals say the structure suffered damages estimated at $5,000 with an additional $1,000 in damages to the contents of the home. There reportedly was not a smoke alarm in the house.
Investigators say the fire originated in the home's living room and is believed to be arson. Anyone with information on this fire is urged to call the Salisbury Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
