Ocean’s Calling taking over Ocean City for its 2nd year

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The Ocean’s Calling music festival is set to take over Ocean City.

This year’s headliners include Blink 182, The Killers and the Dave Matthew’s Band. This is the second year of singing on the sand.

Mayor Rick Meehan said while Ocean’s Calling is a newer festival, it brings a major economic boost to the area. He’s looking forward to seeing all the new faces that stop by this year.

“It brings so many people to town that have never been to Ocean City, that want to come to quality concert and be outdoors,” Mayor Meehan said. “The venue is different than most other places; you’re on the beach, you’re on the boardwalk, that’s part of the venue, it’s totally different than concert venues in other areas.”

The festival will kick off on September 27th and will run through the 29th.
