Dorchester Co. drug investigation leads to recovery of 12 firearms, over $23,000

VIENNA, Md. – A Dorchester County man is behind bars on charges stemming from a recent drug investigation.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force executed several search and seizure warrants on August 1st, including the residence located at 4830 Kraft Road. During the search, police found 12 firearms, an amount of crack cocaine consistent with possession with the intent to distribute, a large amount of firearm ammunition, and $23,649.75 in cash.

The target of the investigation, 72-year-old Peter Smith Sr., was arrested and charged with multiple drug and firearm offenses. He was held without bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center.
