Salisbury, MD.- The Salisbury Kidney Walk is a week and a half away.

Chronic Kidney Disease is when the kidneys have become damaged over time.

Developing Kidney Disease is usually a very slow process with very few symptoms at first.

Kidney cancer is divided into 5 stages to help guide treatment decisions.

Doctor Kazi Khan from Peninsula Nephrology says kidney disease can come from a number of things.

Dr Khan says “The most common cause of Kidney Disease is diabetes and the second one is hypertension unfortunately diabetes and hypertension is very very common in our population on the eastern shore.”

The event is on Sunday, June 2nd at Winter Place Park, and it will start at 9 am.
