Habitat for Humanity to host 3rd annual Rock-The-Block event

DOVER, Del. – Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity is hosting its 3rd annual rock the block event.

It’s all about getting Dover’s community members out to revitalize their city.

The event will feature a pollinator planting garden, a community clean up and mural painting,
culminating in a block party and lunch.

Director of neighborhood revitalization, Melissa Allaband, said all of the activities help foster a healthier and happier community.

“The community does have needs and we’re not necessarily there to fix things on our own, but just to encourage and empower the neighbors that do live there, that they are capable of bringing whatever positive changes that they want to the community,” Allaband said.

Anyone who plans to attend the event should register by Friday afternoon on www.CentralDelawareHabitat.org/Rock-The-Block.

The event will take place on Saturday from 12-2PM, at 120 S Governor’s avenue.
