Police: Duo arrested for multiple robberies in Kent and Sussex Counties

Delaware State Police say that a boyfriend and girlfriend duo have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies that happened throughout Kent and Sussex Counties.
State Police detectives began investigating the robberies on February 8, when an armed man went into Oasis Travel Plaza in Laurel. The suspect then received an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.
Similar incidents reportedly happened with matching descriptions at the Shawnee Country Store in Milford on February 10, at Family Dollar in Rodney Village in Dover, and Canterbury Shore Stop in Felton on February 11. Similar incidents also reportedly happened at Concord Liquors in Seaford, as well as the Dollar General in Ellendale on February 12.
Throughout investigative measures and with the help of various state police special units including the Laurel Police Department and Dover Police Department, two suspects were identified.
On Tuesday, detectives took 19-year-old Deandre Winder of Ellendale and 21-year-old Trinity West of Dover into custody after a search warrant was made at Trinity West's home on Stone Brook Place.
Both Winder and West were taken back to Troop four in Georgetown where Winder was charged with five counts of first degree robbery, first degree attempted robbery, six counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, five counts of aggravated menacing, six counts of wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony and four counts of second degree conspiracy.
He was arraigned at JP 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution of $659,000 cash bond.
West was jailed at Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on multiple search warrants. She was formally charged on Thursday with two counts of first degree robbery, first degree attempted robbery, three counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated menacing, three counts of wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, and three counts of conspiracy. She remains committed on $215,000 secured bond.
