Shop tax-free for Energy Star appliances

For Marylanders, this weekend is be a great time to save on certain appliances for tax-free shopping.
Starting Saturday, February 18th running through Monday, February 21st, Marylanders can enjoy the Shop Maryland Energy Tax-Free weekend.
Consumers can buy Energy Star products without the state's sales tax.
Best Buy employee, Nicholas Ayd tells us, "Energy Star is a rating provided to a lot of consumer electronics that are deemed energy efficient or live up to certain standards, that way by utilizing them over non-energy star products, it reduces the amount of energy that your house consumes once you're running these appliances or electronics so it ends up saving you money and running more efficiently."
Energy Star products consist of anything from air conditioners and refrigerators to washers and dryers.
Although, not every Energy Star appliance is tax-free in Maryland.
This is the list of appliances that are tax-exempt:
