Residents agree to Cambridge traffic pattern changes
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A traffic pattern pilot is moving forward in Cambridge following public comment from city residents.
Assistant City Engineer Bucky Jackson says the public was in favor of certain traffic lights being changed to stop signs. Adding, the changes would support safety for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
Jackson explains what the next steps are for the changes to be made. “I will be submitting a council agenda report that is requesting approval implementing this pilot phasing plan to do the 4 phases starting with phase 1 in January after the new year,” Carl “Bucky” Jackson said.
The plan will be officially presented to Cambridge city council on Monday with phase one to start shortly after.
