Police: Shirtless man arrested for damaging store items

Police say that a man has been arrested on disorderly conduct and criminal mischief charges in Milford.
According to Milford Police, on July 28, 2016 at 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a disorderly man at Walmart on North Dupont Boulevard (US Route 113).
When officers arrived, they made contact with 18-year-old Djerryson Charles of Milford, who had a baseball bat.
Officers then reportedly gave Charles commands to drop the bat, which he followed, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation found that before officers arrived, Charles had removed his shirt and was running around the store damaging items.
Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained for Charles and it has been on file since the incident. On February 4, Charles turned himself in to Milford Police.
He has been charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
Charles was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court # 7, where bail was set at $200 unsecured.
Charles is set to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas in April for an arraignment.
