Ferrara leads charge, Gulls net season-high in goals against SVU

SALISBURY, MD- The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team bounced back from their first loss of the season, defeating Southern Virginia 26-9 on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon.

The Gulls honored 10 seniors by netting a season-high 26 goals on the day, highlighted by a career-high six goals from junior Cross Ferrara. Ferrara and fellow junior Josh Melton (5 goals, 2 assists) led the game with 7 points a piece. On defense, TJ Ellis got his first start for Salisbury, finishing with 7 saves on 11 shots on goal.

Salisbury will visit St. Mary’s on Wednesday in their regular season finale, before beginning CAC tournament play.
