McAuliffe and Carney condemn travel ban

All three governors from Delmarva have weighed in on President Trump's travel ban, with Gov. John Carney (D) and Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) speaking out against it.
McAuliffe said in a statement "I am outraged and disappointed by the actions President Trump has taken to ban travelers from certain Muslim nations and to close our country to families seeking refuge from persecution. This executive order is antithetical to the values that make America great, and it will make our country less safe."
McAuliffe went on to say that on behalf of the people of Virginia he is urging President Trump to reverse the policy and that he will work with Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring to see what ways the state can oppose the policy.
Carney also released a statement saying in part "We should help refugees escape war-ravaged corners of the world not turn them away. That is part of our duty as Americans."
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan on the other hand has not taken a stance one way or another. Rather his office released a statement Sunday night saying that the state's legal counsel is reviewing the executive order and its implications on Maryland.
The statement went on to read that the implementation and enforcement of immigration law is set by the federal government.
