MSP: Serious accident on westbound Route 50 at eastern Bypass entrance

UPDATE: As of 5:20 PM, 47 ABC has confirmed westbound Route 50 has opened back up to traffic.

Maryland State Police say they are responding to a vehicle crash on U.S. Route 50 westbound at the Salisbury Bypass.

Police believe it is a two car crash. The accident reportedly happened around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Westbound Route 50 near the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium has been temporarily shut down, police said.

MSP have not yet released information the condition of the people involved.
