PRMC hosting HealthFest later this month
SALISBURY, Md. – The Peninsula Regional Health System and the Wicomico County Board of Education are teaming up to hold a health fair at the end of the month.
HealthFest will offer more than 35 free health screenings, including skin cancer screenings, will be available the day of the event and will not require pre-registration. The purpose of these screenings is to help anyone looking to find out how healthy they actually are and to learn what they can do to live an even healthier and more productive lifestyle.
More popular screenings at the event include DermaScan Skin Exams, Bone Density, Blood Pressure, Vision, Hearing, Height, Weight, Stroke and Spine Awareness, Foot Screenings, Aorta and Lower Leg Circulation Screenings.
This year, those attending HealthFest will have the chance to participate in a paper Diabetes screening, as well as receive educational and resource information about addiction from the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore Opioid Coalition.
HealthFest is an event for all ages and is scheduled for Saturday, March 30th, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at James M. Bennett High School. For more information on the event, click here.
