Air Quality Alert issued for Maryland’s Eastern Shore
SALISBURY, Md. – An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
This means that fine particulate concentrations in the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. Those with heart or lung disease, older adults, children, and teens are at highest risk and should take steps to reduce their exposure. This includes avoiding strenuous outdoor activities, keeping outdoor activities short, and considering moving physical activities indoors or rescheduling them.
Everyone else should consider choosing less strenuous activities so you don’t breathe as hard, shortening the amount of time you are active outdoors, and being active outdoors when the air quality is better.
