Maryland deputy shot in disturbance recuperates at hospital

In Queen's Anne's County, a sheriff's deputy remains in serious condition after being shot in the line of duty.
The Queen Anne's County Sherrif's Office says Deputy Hogan underwent surgery this weekend and is improving.
On Monday, a spokesperson for the Sheriff's department tells 47 ABC he has been in good spirits throughout this ordeal and has been talking and joking with his co-workers.
Hogan is expected to have another surgery later this week.
This comes after Hogan was shot last week after helping a woman retrieve her belongings after a domestic violence dispute.
The suspect was shot and killed during an exchange with Hogan.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Hogan and his family, for a link to the page click here.
