Two arrested in Queen Anne’s County stabbing

Maryland State Police say they arrested two people on Tuesday in connection to a stabbing in Queen Anne's County.
20-year-old Emily Hert of Stevensville and 21-year-old William Tulowitsky of Queenstown are both charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first degree assault, reckless endangerment and accessory after the fact.
Shortly after midnight Tuesday, 30-year-old Joseph Lanfranchi of Chester was dropped off to Queen Anne's Emergency Center in Grasonville with stab wounds. He was flown to shock trauma in Baltimore due to his injuries, police said.
Troopers say Lanfranchi refused to answer any questions from police.
Police learned from Lanfranchi's sibling that Lanfranchi was attacked by the occupants of a yellow Volkswagen Beetle.
Troopers say that a yellow Beetle with occupants matching the description given to police was stopped Monday night shortly before 12 PM by the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office only three miles from the reported stabbing location.
Police report they were able to identify Hert as the driver and Tulowitsky as the passenger. The investigation continues on the involvement of a second passenger in the Beetle.
Troopers arrested Hert and Tulowitsky without incident at a home in Queenstown at around 6 PM Tuesday. Police say they found the Beetle left under the Kent Narrows bridge.
Hert is being held on $50,000 bond at the Queen Anne's County Detention Center while Tulowitsky is still to be seen by a district court commissioner.
