SALISBURY, Md. – The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore (UWLES) Executive Board of Directors has announced a new President & Chief Executive Officer for the agency.

Pamela Gregory, an 8-year veteran of the UWLES, was recently selected by the Board of Directors through a unanimous vote.

According to officials from the agency, Gregory has been an essential part of the agency’s success serving in various capacities, including resource development and Community Impact Director. She has also been serving as the Interim President/CEO while the Board conducted a nationwide search to fill the position permanently.

United Way Board Chair Dana Seiler said the agency was looking for a solid leader who could build upon the successes and programs already in place. She noted that they are confident that Gregory has the experience and skills necessary to lead the team forward.

47 ABC received a statement from Gregory, in which she said, “I am humbled and thrilled by the opportunity to lead United Way into our 75th year and beyond, and am thankful to our Board for the due diligence they followed to reach this decision. It is an honor working with our staff, Board, and community partners to fulfill our mission of creating opportunities for a better life for all neighbors on the Lower Shore.”
