Back To School Bash serves as supplies drive, fun event for whole family

OCEAN PINES, Md. – The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department will host its first-ever Back to School Bash later this month, sponsored by AmeriGroup.

To get in you’ll need to purchase a $10 wristband which will allow you access to a full range of games, food vendors, and music.

The event will also serve as a backpack and school supplies drive with donations given to Worcester County Gold for those in need.

Organizers tell us, this will be a first for the area and hope it comes with success. “I decided to give back. I’m finally in a position to do the same thing people did for me as a kid so it’s nice to return that favor,” Ocean Pines Association Program Supervisor Kyle Jarmon said.

“So it might be a nice opportunity to have a pre back to school event or that one last Hoorah! before school starts.”

That event is scheduled for Saturday, August 27 from 10a.m.-2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
