Milford man faces drug charges following drug investigation

MILFORD, Del. – The US Marshal First State Fugitive Task Force arrested a Milford man on drug charges last week, following an investigation and search warrant.

21-year-old Theoddis Johnson was wanted out of Milford regarding an arrest warrant that had been obtained for him after he disappeared from the parking lot of the Silver Lake Estates Apartment Complex, while the Milford Police Department Drug Unit was executing a search warrant on his vehicle.

The search warrant was a result of a one month investigation into the sale of illicit drugs, and was obtained back on September 25th. Prior to the execution of the search warrant, detectives observed Johnson standing around the vehicle with the driver’s side door open and other unknown subjects standing around with him. When police attempted to execute the search warrant, they found the other subjects, but found out that Johnson had left the area.

Detectives continued to search the vehicle, finding heroin and other drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. An arrest warrant was obtained for Johnson as a result of the search warrant.

On October 31st, Johnson was taken into custody at a home in the Brightway Commons Apartment Complex in Milford.

Johnson is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was presented and released on $3,500 unsecured bail. He has been ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing at a later date.
