Steve Mathews sworn in as new Snow Hill Mayor

SNOW HILL, Md. – Snow Hill has sworn in a new mayor to finish the term of former Mayor Charlie Dorman, who announced his resignation on October 9th.

We’re told that Mayor Dorman and the Town Council met in an executive session on Tuesday, October 16th, where the council requested that Steve Mathews fill the position until the next general election. Matthews agreed to take over the position of Mayor as of October 24th.

The position of Mayor will be added to the May 2019 general election. The term for Mayor will be one year, until the next regular election for this position.
